PHYSICAL ORGANIZATION
SFSECIS Headquarters is located in SB Alpha in the Wolf 359 system. The Service maintains a presence throughout Alpha and Beta Quadrants with divisional field and support offices on each of the 13 capital star base. The Support Operations Directorate is located on the campus of Star Fleet Command, San Francisco, Terra/Sol-III.
SFSECIS is centrally managed and resourced from the Headquarters; the operational missions are executed in a decentralized manner by divisional field and support offices, Major Case Response Teams, ancillary departments and their subordinate components.
Divisional Field Offices are centralized on each capital starbase, led by an Assistant Deputy Director (ADD) [DI-7] who maintains overall service responsibility for all personnel assigned. Each ADD will work to optimize staffing and resources, collaborating with Support Divisions to enable field agents to fulfill their core mission objectives effectively and efficiently. The core law enforcement component of a Field Office is the Major Case Response Team (MCRT) – see the Major Case Response Team section for further details.
The Support Operations Divisions (SOD) play a crucial role in facilitating the operational effectiveness of field agents by furnishing essential logistical, forensics, and administrative support. These divisions are integral in ensuring the seamless execution of law enforcement, protective, and counter-intelligence missions undertaken by the service. Headed by Assistant Deputy Directors, each SOD is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering requisite support products and services to all SFSECIS units. Centralized by function, SODs deploy personnel to field offices as per the exigencies of caseloads, accommodating both short-term and indefinite assignments as needed.
The table below illustrates the physical location of each Field and Support Division, along with the abbreviated title for the respective Assistant Deputy Director In Charge. Each capital starbase is a central hub of SFSECIS operations and operates semi-autonomously from the parent Directorate.
